Panasonic has a huge presence at CES 2015. Among digital cameras, they unveiled 5 new fixed-lens cameras. The two waterproof models, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS6 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS30 are minor upgrades from their predecessors. These tough cameras can be submerged under to 13 and 8 meter depths, respectively. Both feature built-in WiFi and the TS6 also includes a built-in GPS.
The new compact Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ10 is one of the slimmest ultra-zooms on the market. Even though it is only 30mm thick, it packs a stabilized 12X ultra-wide-angle optical zoom lens and a 16 megapixels CCD sensor. This fully-automatic camera can capture 720p HD videos too.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS45 is one of Panasonic’s travel-zoom, packing an impressive 20X ultra-wide optical-zoom with image-stabilization in a 32mm-thick body. This extremely versatile compact features full manual-controls, including choice of metering. It packs a 16 MP CMOS sensor that can capture 10 full-resolution images in a single second.
The fantastic surprise of CES 2015 is the all-new Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS50. This travel-zoom offers premium features, including dual control-dials and a 1.2 megapixels EVF with Eye-Start sensor. It packs a whopping 30X ultra-wide-angle optical zoom lens with hybrid 5-axis image-stabilization in a compact body which measures only 34mm thick.
The core of the ZS50 is the a 12 megapixels CMOS sensor which ensures its larger pixels can deliver lower-noise and greater dynamic-range than its siblings announced today. It has an ISO 80 to 6400 sensitivity range and can shoot 6 frames at 10 FPS in a single burst. This travel-zoom also captures full 1080p HD video at 60 FPS.
Panasonic expects all these new cameras to ship in April 2014. Check the links in this post for pre-ordering now.
