Along with the X-series and ultra-zooms, Fuji introduced a new rugged camera continuing the XP-series: the Fuji Finepix XP60 which brings the megapixel count to 16 using a high-speed CMOS sensor.
The XP60 is waterproof down to a depth of 6m for a maximum of 2 hours. It is also shockproof to drops of 1.5m and freezeproof down to -10C. This is Fuji’s most rugged digital camera to date. Like other models in the series, this one is completely point-and-shoot and equipped with a 5X optical zoom lens, equivalent to 28 – 140mm.
The Fuji Finepix XP60 is expected to arrive in March 2013 for a suggested retail price of $199 USD, making it one of the most affordable rugged digital camera on the market.
